This book is the first in a series of books meant to pique your interest and start you to think more about your health in a way that will put YOU in charge of becoming the best you can be with methods and suggestions that you can pick and choose according to your individual needs or desires. It’s like going to a restaurant, you can choose your favorite entrée or you can choose individual items “a la carte”. So, how do you begin to determine your body’s weakest link? Once you know what it is, what do you do about it? How do you strengthen it? What does it involve?
I will be covering several topics that individually can add health benefits on some level. However, the goal is to incorporate several of these topics and find ways to apply them into your daily lifestyle for long term and long lasting health improvement.
The human body is an amazing and wondrous “machine”! Sometimes we forget how amazing and miraculous the human body is! At one time each of us was only a microscopic organism! Too often we take this for granted.
Our bodies are made of different organs, glands, nerves, bones, tissues, muscles, cells and other matter. When viewing the body in its totality it’s not possible to understand the inner workings of all that it takes to make and keep this glorious machine functioning – hopefully at its peak performance.
Even with all the knowledge and understanding we have access to, there are potential and probable “malfunctions” that can and do occur inside and outside of our bodies. Some of the “weaknesses” that occur in the body are caused by various functions and circumstances such as heredity, environment, the natural process of dying off of cells, diet, emotional state, accidents and so on.
Within all its functions the body desires to reach a level of homeostasis or balance. However, sometimes maintaining this balance can be a challenge due to "weak links” that aren’t necessarily due to one particular organ or body system but can be caused by several factors. The tips in this book are just a short list of choices you can choose to keep your body operating at its fullest potential.
